Children's Series
Once children find a favorite series of stories and characters, they want to read all of the adventures in that collection of children's series books. Little ones adore classics like Curious George, Arthur, Winnie the Pooh, and Beatrix Potter books, which also help them learn to read. As they get older, kids fall in love with everything from Beverly Cleary's Ramona series to the magical adventures of Harry Potter. As they read each book in the series, they get to know the characters better until they are like old friends.
Up until the 19th century, children's books were for learning only, teaching young ones to read using Bible passages, simple primers, and excerpts from books intended for adults, like Robinson Crusoe. However, starting in the late 1800s, following the publication of Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, the perception of children's books began to change as educators saw the importance of encouraging young readers to enjoy literature, including series like Anne of Green Gables and The Chronicles of Narnia.

Both series feature teens solving mysteries and have remained popular and in print through to the present day.
